Living in Chennai these days... Part II Thumbrules when on the Chennai roads!!

1. No guarantee to life. Your life is at your own stake. Be alert and conscious every moment.But still, if you believe in God, just pray to Him before starting anywhere.

2. You might be a perfect and sincere driver who follows rules and regulations, yet, your life is prone to risk. You are still prone to an accident because of reckless drivers all around you.

3. Never accelerate coz you can never expect the unexpected; any vehicle can take a sharp turn and anybody could step into the road leisurely

4. Be safe; always wear a helmet.

5. Be cautious; follow rules and regulations, atleast for the belief that if you don’t cause harm, nobody will harm you :-)

6. Learn first aid, be equipped, store emergency numbers with the ICE prefix in your phone.

7. No use just learning first aid, stop and be there to help others when they’ve met with an accident or when in need of help. What goes, comes around!!!

8. Give way to an ambulance, who knows, your dear one could be there right inside fighting for life. Or with our usual philosophy, imagine your condition in future, if you happen to be in an

ambulance, fighting for life and find yourself flying between stars with no vehicles giving way.

9. If you are a pedestrian, stop and look and cross when it’s the time to cross. If you are going to merrily jollily cross the road, neither will you be lucky always as you had been, nor will all the drivers be able to apply a sharp brake.

10 End, don’t get cursed by others, all your punyams and good deeds will be reduced proportionately ;-) ;-)
